CoalMine Music invites you to dig deep into a well-organized combination of sound and artistry that will deliver what is expected of any production company, outstanding music!

Established in 2000, CoalMine Music was founded by Terri “Grant Parks” Coleman and

Terron “Rive 1” Coleman; two B Boys with entrepreneur spirits. Producer Grant Parks’ musical and production resume shows a life-long commitment to the arts. Our production capabilities are not limited to one genre of sound or category of music. Educated in the theory of musical and studio engineering the CoalMine sound is guaranteed to set an industry standard with raw innovative techniques.

CoalMine Music’s weekly event, Windy City Flavor, showcased local talent as well as national artists, gained national attention as being one of the premiere events to see in Chicago. This event has gotten artists DJ Mix Tape placements, radio and TV interviews and independent “one off” album deals.

The Windy City Flavor format has been changed to one off events, bringing in national artists once a month and giving opportunity to those to work closely with these artists developing their craft.

2008, CoalMine Music expanded and opened its latest edition, the CoalMine Music Management Division, headed by Joanne Coleman. Working with major and independent artists, she was also part of the Chicago division of the Stop the Violence Movement with KRS One.

CoalMine Music is definitely on the rise and you will be hearing more in the years to come!!

Joanne Coleman

Joanne Coleman has played a major force in the music industry for the past 8  years, shaping the careers of independent artists and organizing and hosting urban industry networking events.

Coleman has utilized her resources, talent, ingenuity and people skills to become an invaluable asset to the music business.

She was also part of the Chicago division of the Stop the Violence Movement, spearheaded by legendary hip-hop icon KRS One.

Currently, the Chicago based businesswoman spends her time (business) managing major & independent artists, as well as, the day-to-day operations of CoalMine Music, Inc.
Terron Coleman

Terron Coleman has made his mark in Chicago’s Urban Entertainment Industry over the past 8 years with his innovative marketing and promotion ideas that have landed some of the region’s best talent on his roster. He also organized and hosted one of Chicago’s weekly industry networking events and with his promotion skills, got the event noticed outside of Chicago.

Coleman also assists independent artists with their budget planning for promotion – including: merchandise and distribution, release parties, in-stores and street teams.

Currently, Terron spends his time managing the day-to-day operations of Grant Parks Productions.
